OPUS Warranty Policy
At OPUS, we strive to ensure that our products meet industry standards and undergo rigorous testing to withstand the demands of travel, allowing customers to enjoy their suitcases for many years.
However, if any defects occur under normal usage, our 3-year warranty from the date of purchase will apply.
During this warranty period, we provide repair and replacement services, including coverage for damage caused during transportation by airlines or other carriers.
Warranty Coverage
- Damage caused by external impact or natural wear and tear is not covered under warranty.
- Replacement parts will be provided free of charge, but some repair costs may be borne by the customer.
- Even after the warranty period expires, we continue to offer paid repair and replacement support.
1. Eligible Products & Warranty Period
The warranty applies to the following products:
- Suitcases purchased from the official OPUS website
- Suitcases purchased from the official aucentic website
- 3-year coverage from the date of purchase
2. Warranty Coverage Scope
If your suitcase becomes unusable due to the following defects, we will provide unlimited repairs during the warranty period:
- Caster damage
- Housing damage
- Lock malfunction
- Handle malfunction
Note: Surface scratches, stains, wear, and deterioration from normal use are not covered under warranty.
Additionally, the repair method will be determined by OPUS, and we will perform the most appropriate repairs to restore product functionality.
3. Warranty Exclusions (Non-Covered Cases)
Even within the warranty period, the following cases are not covered under the warranty and will require paid repairs:
- Surface damage from normal use (e.g., caster, fastener, handle wear, scratches, discoloration)
- Interior dirt, discoloration, insect damage, corrosion, etc.
- Damage caused by incorrect use or improper handling
- Aging-related deterioration due to long-term use (e.g., hydrolysis affecting the suitcase body, handle, or casters)
- Damage caused by war, riots, civil disturbances, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, or natural disasters (e.g., typhoons, floods, heavy rain, tsunamis)
- Damage to interior materials or clothing caused by water damage
- Deformation or damage caused by high temperatures, humidity, solvents, acids, salt, excessive impact, or overloading
- Repairs or modifications performed at non-OPUS authorized repair centers
- Damage, contamination, or loss of suitcase contents
- Financial losses due to the inability to use the product, including opportunity loss
- Theft, misplacement, or loss
If replacement parts are no longer available due to the end of the part retention period, we will use substitute parts for repairs.
However, please note that some repairs may not be possible due to the product's structure.
If repairs are not feasible, OPUS will replace the damaged product with the same or an equivalent model.
